Case Study Research Services
CLIENT BACKGROUND
A fast growing financial research company in New York combining technology and investment expertise to help investors find relevant information.
CLIENT ISSUES
Management faced several key strategic issues in their preparation for expansion including:
- High cost of maintaining staff in New York.
- Difficulty in finding people who are passionate about the work causing prolonged recruitment process and high attrition rate.
- Slow turn-around time for research and no off hours support.
These issues were resulting to slowing their ability to get the products and services to market quickly and provide the service levels being requested by their clients.
This was the client's first outsourcing endeavor and they determined the three key success factors would be finding:
- A partner who can be trusted and has a track record in knowledge process outsourcing and financial research activities.
- A solution that is cost-effective.
- A solution that did not lead to a loss of control of the process or slower and less effective communications across departments and clients.
OUR SOLUTION
We established a dedicated operating team that met all the requirements including people, processes, technology and security customized for the client’s requirements.
The team was established to augment the client's in-house team of researchers initially and has grown to include the set up of source expansion and categorization teams, Data Quality Assurance and Data Engineering teams performing key activities along the entire value chain of the business.
We designed and implemented the operational and communication processes across all areas of the business including the design, development and maintenance of key technologies to automate certain tasks. The client was able to maintain control of the key functions with no disruptions in the daily operations.
