BPO Earnings Expected To Reach US$7 Bln In 2008

Philippines'
Business Process Outsourcing, or BPO industry earnings are expected to
hit US$7 billion in 2008, up from the US$5 billion in 2007, according
to the Business Processing Association.
Oscar Sanez, president of the Association told media persons that all
BPO sectors are very optimistic and are expected to grow 40% in 2008.
Sanez said the industry is focusing more on the US, Europe, and
Australia this year. He however added that an appreciating peso has hit
the industry badly last year and remained a downward risk going forward.
