New BPO facility in the Philippines is opened by the British Ambassador

Strategic Back-Office Solutions’ US$ 1.5 million investment is a key milestone in the successful multi-year BPO relationship that SBOS has enjoyed with one of the world's largest investment banks since 2002. Complementing existing BPO resources in the UK and China, the new Philippines operations centre gives SBOS and its clients a high-quality English-speaking far-shore capacity and the ability to reduce risks by spreading operations across more than one far-shore location.

The SBOS office, at McKinley Hill Cyberpark in Manila, was officially opened on 10 April 2008 by the British Ambassador to the Philippines, Peter Beckingham. The Chief Executive of SBOS, Stephen Lipton, said: “The Philippines offers a wealth of attractive incentives: workers are highly skilled in English and have an understanding of and close cultural fit with the West as well as strong technical skills.”
